With the growth of Gourmet Kitchens in recent years, more and more homes have installed gourmet, professionally equipped kitchens in their homes.  As a result, the sale of professional-grade ranges, and ovens has seen significant growth.  Such professional-grade ranges and ovens cost five to ten times the cost of standard appliances.  Quality, high-end materials and finishes are typically used in the construction of such appliances which results in a very aesthetically pleasing appearance or look and are often focal points of the gourmet kitchen.  As such, home owners are frequently cleaning the range to keep that great look. Cleaning often includes removing the grates to access the cook top surface. Removing and replacing the heavy duty grates during cleaning increases the likelihood of the stainless steel surfaces of becoming scratched or dented. During the cooking process pots and pans are being moved about the kitchen and contact between the pots and pans and the appliance may also scratch or dent the surface. Scratched stainless steel can be repaired by professionals, however at costs of $200-$300 depending on the severity of the damage.  Dents would require replacement of the part.  Another concern is surfaces adjacent the cooking area get hot during the cooking process with the potential for burns.

Range Guard Pro, stove pad addresses all these issues and protects the most vulnerable and visible section of the range.  The majority of professional-grade stoves have a shelf or ledge directly in front of the cooking area, adjacent to the grates.  Range Guard Pro is placed on this front shelf of the range protecting it from becoming scratched or dented during the cooking or cleaning process.  From personal experience, my brand new stove became scratched just after several months of use. This is what drove me to invent and market the Range Guard Pro.
